First off, I love the art. The developer really did a lot with the retro CG look. I'd genuinely forgotten that this used to be how point and click adventures looked. It manages to give off an unsettling vibe which is still somewhat nostalgic.
It's a short game, with exactly one replay value in it, but it's interesting for those plays. The main problem I had was that the game seems to imply more possible ways for the story to go, but I could only reach two identical outcomes. I'd be interested in seeing this expanded to embrace more player agency.
Amazing! The art is beautiful and the story is really interesting. The different scenarios really made it feel like a dream or a nightmare. Everything works to keep you interested in the narrative! While playing I always felt that something felt wrong, like being observed or followed, which is incredible!
This is awesome. It really makes me want to go back and play all the older point and click horror games I used to play when I was younger.
This was a very surreal experience so going into it with a relatively open mind and willing to let some of your logic brain go idle will do you good.
I didn't care for the token finding puzzle though. Having to go back and forward detracts from the game a bit by messing with the pacing and serious tone it set at the beginning of the game.
I loved everything about this game! The story was so beautifully done. I liked how there were branching paths with way different outcomes. I was really invested into this game and it did not disappoint! Great Job!
I have to say I am incredibly impressed with just how effective the creep factor here is while also keeping the intrigue going throughout. I love the narrative here and I hope to see more of this art style in the future! Such a creative and unique game in multiple ways, you did a fantastic job with this one!
What was the process to make all those renders crusty and lofi? I would love to learn to do the same, it's too perfect. Game looks like it genuinely was a long lost Win98 point and click from the Lucas Arts era.
After making it in Blender, then rendering, it's mostly just batch editing in photoshop - lowering the quality and amount of colours in the image and then messing around with the size up and down until you get what you want.
Seems simple enough, so no dithering or fancy stuff, just bitcrushed in bulk? Did you dev with the full renders and crusted them last thing before release?
The style of the game itself, brings so many memories from older point and click horror games that I used to play as a kid.
The gameplay is well-paced or in other words, has great pacing for a horror game. I also really enjoyed the little hunt for items and the astounding atmosphere.
Love the narrative of the story-telling, it definitely has some talent behind it - and to top it off, I love the ambience and the concept of the ideology of dreams.
Easily the best point and click horror game I've ever played. You have tremendous potential. I do hope you keep up the work.
Thanks for the experience! (Side note, The environment is amazing as well, just wanted to let you know that. Okay bye!)
Thank you so much! You're too kind! I really enjoyed your video. I've always loved point and click games, so I've taken a lot of inspiration from them.
Such a fantastic point and click horror game. I loved the style and the tense creepy atmosphere. Also the two paths and endings were both fantastic. Great job!
I really loved everything about this and dont know why people dont use point and click more! love the artistic style of the game and the very strange concept, it was really unique and different to pretty much everything i have played, well done man, i hope to play more of your games in the future
gameplay above with all endings hope you guys enjoy
Thanks to the author for his dedication to this game! Hope to continue to do this kind of style of games! Scary and fascinating! Your imagination can be fully unleashed in this type of game! If only the story were longer!
By the way, can you tell me why you want to make a game set in dreams or nightmares? Where do you get your inspiration from? I would like to make a video of this game. I need to know your inspiration for creating this game. Hope to get your answer! So I can put it in the game video and help you promote your game! Sure! I find dreams and nightmares fascinating, I tend to have observation dreams all of the time, feels like I'm watching a movie and they always tend to be disturbing (but very interesting).
I'm also inspired by games that make you feel uncomfortable, such as Harvester, Phantasmagoria, Bad Mojo, I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream etc. all point and clicks I would recommend to anyone who likes disturbing games.
Had a great time in this game I am also super curious if there are more than two endings! LOVE THE AESTHETIC BY THE WAY! Thank you for this creepy experience c:

Yeah, just built a scene, rendered it, and then a quick edit.
"Amazingly Nostalgic"
